My backyard garden brings me so much joy! I spend the summer tending my garden and growing my relationship with the flowers I paint. I placed three pink roses in a blue and white vase, which was in my childhood kitchen, and which my mother passed down to me.
I love to focus on details in the negative space of a painting. As it often happens in life, those in-between, ordinary moments are what gives life meaning and depth.
